March 9, 2011...We ended up canceling our knitting group
last night due to bad weather. I am working
on my laptop cozy. We'll be going
back to our knitting group next week.

Happy Birthday to my grandma! :)
Last weekend I found while searching online some cool
looking laptop cozies. I have decided to knit one for my mac laptop.
I am knitting without a pattern because I could not find one
that I really liked online. I am using some really thick yarn (hot pink) and
15 inch knitting needles.
It is coming along pretty good but I had to start over about 3 times before I
got it right.

My other project the 9 square blanket.....
I have 1 square completed. I really should start another square
before our next meeting on March 9th, but I am just
so addicted to my laptop cozy and eager to see how it comes out.
We are officially called the Tallahassee Knitters. You can find us on www.meetup.com. We only have two in the group now but hopefully will have more as we have more meetings. I am so excited about this group. Seems like it will be lots of fun.
I have decided to join a knitting group here in town. Their first meeting is Wednesday night (Feb 23). I am so excited. Edward said he would keep the kids and get them ready for bed so that I can go and enjoy myself.
I ended up going to Michael's this past Sunday and buying 3 rolls of yarn. I am going to make a blanket from an actual pattern which I've never done before. The yarn I bought I have never used so and it is driving me nuts because its so hard to work with.
Anyways, once I get further along on my project I will take a picture. I have to knit 9 squares 10x10 size and then sew them all together.
