Reflection of Summer Past...

Summer is winding down and I thought I would reflect on what a wonderful summer we've had here in Florida.

Once school was out we immediately enrolled the kids in swimming lessons with the public pools. They did a great job and had fun.

After swimming lessons we spent a week long vacation at the beach with my parents and brother. We ended up staying in a really nice town house in Destin, Florida. We drove over to Pensacola, Florida and saw the Blue Angels perform. They were awesome. We would spend the mornings at the beach and the afternoons at the pool. The kids really enjoyed the beach this year. They were rolling down the sand hills.

We also decided to attend VBS at our church this year for the first time. I ended up volunteering to do the photography for them and my MIL also helped out. The kids really had a great time. They learned about Moses. Mind you we were all tired by the end of the week.

We also enrolled the kids in swim lessons AGAIN one week would be during VBS week and then the after VBS. Will was getting to where he would be swimming by himself. Emily can push off the side of the pool and go under water. They are both jumping off the side of the pool.

To end our summer vacation Edward and I decided to take a mini vacation trip to Jacksonville, FL just the four of us. We saw Dora Live, the MOSH with the dinosaur exhibit, took a ferry car boat ride over to the beach, and went shopping. We also went swimming in our hotel pool where Will really impressed us by jumping off the side of the pool with no float and swimming to the other side. We were so proud.
